Waikiki Beach is located in the Waikiki area of ​​Honolulu on the island of Oahu, one of the islands of the US Hawaiian archipelago. Waikiki is the heart of Oahu and one of the best places to visit in Hawaii, with many hotels located right on this famous beach.
Waikiki Beach is the collective name of the beaches in the Waikiki area, of which there are 9 in total. Waikiki Beaches from west to east: 1) Kahanamoku Beach – Duke Kahanamoku Beach, 2) Fort Derussy Beach, 3) Gray’s Beach – Halekulani Beach, 4) Royal Moana Beach – Royal Hawaiian Beach, 5) Kuhio Beach – Prince Kuhio Beach, 6) Kapiolani Beach, 7) Queens Beach, 8) Kaimana Beach – Sans Souci Beach, 9) Outrigger Canoe Club Beach.
Each of the 9 sections of Waikiki Beach has its own characteristics and differs from the other in location, size, range of services and infrastructures.
The length of the Waikiki coastline is just over 3 km. This is a picturesque coastal strip covered with white sand and surrounded by calm blue-azure ocean waters on the one hand and beautiful high-rise residential buildings, luxury hotels and boutiques on the other.
The beach is the main attraction here, but after a day of outdoor adventure (excursions can be arranged at the hotel’s independent tourism and entertainment bureau), guests can look forward to live music and delicious Hawaiian food at the Kani Ka Pila Grill.
The most attractive for swimming is the western part of the beach, called the Kahanamoku Lagoon (or Hilton), where the waters are calmer and the coastline is quite extensive.
Waikiki is now a popular resort with a sandy beach surrounded by modern high-rises and is the most popular in Hawaii.
