The Skazka canyon or the fairytale canyon is located on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. in the western Tianshan Mountains in eastern Kyrgyzstan.
The Skazka Gorge is an amazing place where sandy red formations take on various fabulous shapes. Due to the different rocks that have amazing color shades at their base, rock statues not only have unusual shapes, but also magical colors. There are hiking trails in the canyon. On average, the walk will last one to two hours.
The Skazka Canyon is a real natural monument, but it has only recently become known as a natural wonder.
