The Coca Castle is a Gothic-Mudejar style castle in the municipality of Coca in the province of Segovia, in the autonomous community of Castile-Leon, Spain.
Located near Segovia, Built in the 15th century under Alonso Fonseca, the powerful Archbishop of Seville during the reign of King Enrique IV of Castile. The castle is surrounded by a 2.5 meter wide double fortress wall with polygonal corner organs and gates, as well as a deep dry moat. Castillo de Coca is an fine example of fortification art in the Mudejar style , The castle belongs to the Alba family and is now a school for forest rangers.
The castle has been classified in Spain as an asset of cultural interest , this building was at one time considered one of the most powerful castles in Spain. Now it is among the top most beautiful castles in the world. Castillo de Coca is unique both for its original architecture and rich history.
