The Upper and Lower Belvedere, together with the garden laid out around it, form a magnificent Baroque ensemble.
Belvedere is home to the “Austrian Belvedere Gallery” (Österreichische Galerie Belvedere). The Upper Belvedere exhibits works from the Middle Ages to the present day, and the Lower Belvedere, which is connected to the Orangery and the Stables, hosts periodic exhibitions. Complementary exhibition spaces are Prince Eugene’s palace in the city center and the Museum of Contemporary Art “21er Haus”.
