The Mushroom Street ( Calle San Francisco ) ,is a popular pedestrian street in the center of Alicante,Spain.

This area was abandoned, at the end of 2013, the  mayor of Alicante, decided to theme the street with figures of large mushrooms. The floor was painted green and yellow and samboris were drawn.
the street attracted the attention of tourists and increased the opening of new businesses. Since then, the street has been popularly known as Carrer dels Boletes.

  • Alicante is the capital of the province of the same name and, after Valencia, the most important city in the autonomous Valencian Community.
  • There are cafes, ice cream parlors, pastry shops, Japanese, Italian, Spanish and Mediterranean restaurants, clothing boutiques, shops with Mexican jewelry and souvenir shop along the cozy street.
  • The unique creation, which was created by local designer Sergio Martinez, has become not only a children’s playground or towns in the usual way, but the style design of the whole street, where the main element is not signs and advertising windows, but “children’s motifs” for little travelers.
