Cenote Suytun located 8.6 kilometers from Valladolid, Yucatán.Mexico. Cenote is a natural sinkhole in limestone that has been gradually filled with fresh groundwater. Cenotes are found in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and the nearby Caribbean islands.
In the northern and northwestern part of the Yucatan Peninsula, cenotes are generally extensive cavities with vertical walls, 50 to 100 meters deep.
