In the South Eifel Nature Park, on the edge of the Ferschweiler Plateau, there is a bizarre rocky landscape made of sandstone , the Devil’s Gorge is a crevice in the jagged rock,the gorge was created during the last ice age 10,000 years ago, as a result of landslides.

With its steep rock faces, the bizarre rocky landscape of the Devil’s Gorge is a destination and a starting point for further hikes in the area, one of the most attractive hiking trail in the Eifel is  the Felsenweg 6, which leads through the spectacular rock crevice. At the Teufelsschlucht Nature Park Center you will receive all information about the origins and special features of the fascinating rocky landscape as well as tips and suggestions for tours through the region.
