The Dubai Frame is a an architectural landmark located in the downtown area of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
The Dubai Frame is an architectural landmark located in the downtown area of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

The structure consists of two 150 meter high towers, which are connected at the bottom by a base building and at the top by a 93 meter long bridge, reminiscent of the shape of a picture frame. Through this frame you can either see modern Dubai around the Burj Khalifa or, from the other direction, old Dubai with the district of Deira. In the base building there is a museum that shows the development of Dubai from a fishing village to a large city.

The Dubai Frame, which is located in Zabeel in the Emirate of Dubai, is one of the landmarks of Dubai that was completed in 2015, it aims to show the landmarks of Dubai, the present and the past together in a huge artistic icon.

Access : Coordinates: 25.23548, 55.30034 / The Dubai Frame is located near the Stars Gate, the famous entertainment site in Zabeel Park.

Highlights :

  • The bridge at the top has a 25 m² glass floor that offers a view of Zabeel Park below as well as large parts of Dubai.
  • The Dubai Frame was designed by architect Fernando Donis and was opened in January of 2018,  the total project cost was 160 million dirhams (44 million US dollars).
  • The British newspaper The Guardian has described it as “the largest photo frame on the planet”
