It is located on the eastern side of Moskenesøya island, about 1.5 kilometers northeast of the village of Reine, along the Vestfjorden.
In the past there was a ferry between Hamnøy and Reine, while today there is a bridge connection between these towns.The place is known for razor-sharp mountains, idyllic settlements, dense and fine harbor environment. Hamnøy has well over 200 beds ,as well as food and wine house. Hamnøy It’s considered one of the most beautiful places of all in Lofoten. is a destination with a bustling tourist life in the summer.
