Parasar is a high altitude lake ( 2,730- 8,960 ft ) in Mandi district ,Himachal Pradesh, in the northern part of India.

The lake got its name in honor of a sage named Prashar, who lived on the shore for a long time. On the shore of the lake there is a pagoda built in the 13th century.
The attraction of the lake is a floating round island with a diameter of about 25 meters. It slowly travels along the long axis of the lake.
The lake is popular among pilgrims, when they come to its shore, they throw coins into the water. Tourists, for whom several houses have been built in the area, have access to the lake from April to November in winter the lake usually freezes.
