San Vicente de la Barquera is a town in the autonomous community of Cantabria in northern Spain.
There is evidence of human settlement since Prehistory. Specifically, vestiges of the Bronze Age have remained, such as the megalithic site of El Barcenal. It is believed that the Orgenomescan Cantabrians lived here. San Vicente has been identified with the Portus Vereasueca of the Romans.
