Taghazout  is a small fishing village on the Atlantic Ocean in southern Morocco.
Once Tagazut was a very small Bereber village, the inhabitants of which were mainly engaged in fishing.
In the 1960s, the village was chosen by hippies who lived in tents right on the beach, and the place gained fame as “Moroccan Goa”.In the 1990s, the surfing direction of tourism began to actively develop, hotels, cafes and surf schools appeared.The most famous surfing village in Morocco and a popular winter surfing spot among Europeans.

Access : Coordinates: 30.533, -9.7 / Taghazout is located 20 km north of Agadir on the road to Essaouira. There is an airport in Agadir, and the easiest way to get there is by bus. There are direct buses to Marrakech and Essaouira, as well as to Casablanca.

Highlights :

  •  Taghazout has – apart from its beaches and the old town center – no special attractions. It is suitable as a starting point for day trips into the mountainous and rugged hinterland.
  •  Taghazut is a wide coastal strip with a length of about 8 km, including several small beaches: Sable d’Or, Ait-Savall, Doulhmee, Devil stone and others.
  •  Taghazout Beach : This small, wild beach is known among surfers of all levels as one of the best spots in Morocco for watersports.

Activities : sightseeing / photo opportunities / Surf the Anchor point, / tours by off-road vehicles and ATVs / camel and horse rides / fishing.
