Wangyou Forest is a natural landscape and a tourist spot located in Lugu Township, Nantou County ,in Taiwan.
The picture-postcard scenery it was originally a cedar forest , however, the 921 earthquake caused landslides to block the exit of the small valley. After the heavy rain, a small barrier lake was formed , the many trees dead in the water forming a unique natural landscape , because it is located in a high mountain, it is filled with fog all day long, so it is also known as the “Misty Forest”, The hazy scenery looks beautiful and sad, attracting many people to come here.Today Wangyou Forest has become a must-visit attraction in Shanlinxi.
