The Chinese province of Guangxi is the only place in China where you can admire the unique “wind and rain” bridges. The largest and most popular such bridge among tourists is the Rain and Wind Bridge (Chengyang Bridge) in Chenyang.
The Chenyang Bridge was built in 1916 from wood on a stone foundation. Its length is 64.4 meters, width is 3.4 meters, and it rises 10.6 meters above the Sanjiang River.The bridge is fenced on both sides with railings, and the roofs of its turrets are covered with gray tiles and reliably shelter people from the rain.
Linking two villages, the Chengyang Wind-Rain Bridge , is a true work of art, combining sophisticated architecture and centuries-old Chinese traditions.
