Mausoleum of Njegos – the tomb of the last spiritual ruler of Montenegro, Metropolitan Peter II Petrović – Njegoš, is located on the top of Mount Lovcen.
The Njegos Mausoleum dedicated to Petar II Petrović – Njegoš. It was built according to the idea of the a Croatian sculptor. A 21 km long asphalt road leads from Cetinje to the mausoleum. Stairs with 461 steps lead to the mausoleum, which go through a tunnel cut in the massif of Lovcen.
Today the mausoleum is a local attraction visited by many tourists. Behind the mausoleum there is an observation deck with views of the whole of Montenegro.
