The fairly extensive beach (about 200 meters long, not counting neighboring areas) is famous for its rock formations, the most noticeable of which resembles the outline of a bear. Praia da Ursa beach is located next to the Cape of Cabo da Roca, a country road leads to it, turning into a winding, steep, unpaved road, which will lead you to quiet and uncrowded beach , the most difficult  part are the last 200 meters, which are a descent to the beach along the rocks.
Ursa Beach is an ideal destination for those seeking privacy and tranquility surrounded by nature. It is also popular among rock climbing and surfing enthusiasts.

  • Due to its unique location in the westernmost part of the continent, Ursa Beach is an ideal vantage point for watching the sun set in the sea.
  • Behind the “bear” rock in the water there is another giant formation and an unusual arch hanging over the sand. In the rain season , the Ribeira da Ursa river in the northern part of the beach forms a high waterfall in a narrow crevice, and there is also a small cave there.
  • Located close to Cabo da Roca cape, Ursa Beach is reached via a hikking path and a short walk from Cape.
