Ambuluwawa is a biodiversity complex and Sri Lanka’s first multi-religious sanctuary situated in the central highlands of the country,near the town Gampola , in Kandy District.

Located at 3,567 meters above sea level, the Tower guarantees an amazing aerial view. Being able to climb to the top means being rewarded by an exciting panorama: from the top of the structure you can enjoy the view of the Knuckles mountain range, Pidurutalagala, the highest mountain on the island, the famous Adam’s Peak and the top of Bilble Rock .
This construction is known for being a Buddhist temple, a Christian church, a kovil (Hindu temple) and a mosque.This has caused it to also be called “the tower of diversity”.On the other hand, it should be noted that the Ambuluwawa hill area and the adjacent lush forest, where some 200 types of plants from 80 different families grow, have been declared a forest reserve.

This property is a must-see attraction and one of the most photographed towers in sri lanka.

Access : Coordinates:7°9’39.8650″N, 80°32’50.4247″E / Ambuluwawa located about 15km from Kandy , the capital of the central province of Sri Lanka.

  • This iconic construction, also known as the “Lotus Tower”, is located in Sri Lanka and is a 350-meter-high telecommunications structure in the shape of a lotus flower.
  • Ambuluwawa, in addition to telephone and television antennas, has a shopping center, a hotel and a revolving restaurant. This attraction is part of an agreement between Sri Lanka and China called the “Belt and Road Initiative” which consisted of directing financing for 104.3 million dollars to the comprehensive Lotus Flower project.
  • To access its maximum height, it is necessary to climb some narrow stairs.
