Bunyakiri is a town in Kalehe Territory, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, a country in Central Africa.
Bunyakiri is known for its cultivation of cassava, bananas and palm nuts. In times of peace, it serves as a granary for the city of Bukavu.
Bunyakiri provides access to the Kahuzi-Biega National Park, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980 and whose best-known rare animal species is the eastern lowland gorilla.
