The street is located in front of the Riachuelo river, about 400 meters from “La Bombonera”, and measures approximately 100-150 meters in length ,the stadium where the Boca Juniors football team plays its home matches. It borders the streets of Araoz de Lamadrid (to the north), Garibaldi (to the west), Magallanes (to the south) and Del Valle Iberlucea (to the east).
The main attraction of the street are the buildings with facades of various colors (orange, blue, green, yellow, ocher, etc. Along the street or near it, there are also numerous restaurants, tango clubs and various works of art by well-known artists , as well as “street” artists who exhibit their own, musicians who play the guitar, dancers who invite tourists in improvised pas de deux in exchange for some change, etc The place gained fame as it inspired the music of the famous tango Caminito (1926).
