Crovie is a small village in the Aberdeenshire region of Scotland, United Kingdom.
Crovie is 40 miles north of Aberdeen and is located between the small towns of Gardenstown and Pennan. Crovie was created by the families (crofters) who had been moved from their land to make way for the landowner’s sheep, The village developed only from the end of the 18th century , when about twenty cottages were built.
Crovie began to flourish as a fishing village from the 19th century , when more than 50 boats operated there. The fishing industry declined in the 20th century before coming to a complete halt due to the storm of 1953, which washed away a number of structures and forced residents to flee. Since then most of the buildings have been turned into vacation rentals.

- The history of Crovie dates back to the 13th century : in fact there is news of the first human settlements starting from 1297 , although a church dedicated to San Giovanni was erected in the surrounding area as early as 1004.
