The Old Man of Hoy is a 137 meter high stack on the west coast of the island of Hoy in Orkney, an archipelago in the Northern Isles of Scotland.

The Old Man of Hoy , the  famous spire or pinnacle – in geomorphology, stack – of red sandstone, is perhaps Orkney’s most famous landmark and probably  Britain’s most photographed sea stack.
The distinctive landmark  located close to another well-known site, the Dwarfie Stane. It is also a famous rock climbing spot.
