Hammam Meskutin is a group of 10 different hot springs located in northeastern Algeria, 15 km from the city of Helma.
The springs have formed unique landscapes for several thousand years. Here grew mineral formations of various shades, from brownish-yellow, red and brick to green and milk. These formations are carbonate deposits. Water flowing down them, is colored by tones of geological structure. About 100,000 liters of water flow from the springs in one minute.
The temperature of the water of Hammam Meskhoutine is exceeded at the planetary level only by that of the geysers of Iceland. It actually reaches a temperature of 97°C, its flow rate is 1,650 liters per second: nearly 100,000 liters per minute. Water has built over the millennia a majestic limestone waterfall rich in colors and shapes. On the site there are also many formations of conoid shapes.

- The height of the hill on which the thermal springs are located reaches twenty meters. Saturated with mineral salts, water, the temperature of which varies from +50 ° C to +97 ° C, has healing properties. Next to the springs was built the spa resort of Hammam Hellala.
- Earlier, in the area of Hammam-Meskutin, there was an ancient Roman settlement called Aqua-Tiblitina.
- Legend: Hammam-Meskutin translates from Arabic as “cursed baths”. According to legend, in ancient times, this area was inhabited by people known all over Algeria for their strength and fearlessness. One of the representatives of this people, even in his childhood, surpassed his peers in strength and intelligence. Growing up he became a horseman. The elders tried to teach him to use his authority, but they could not.
