The Île Vierge (“Virgin Island”) is a small island of approximately 6 hectares in surface area located 1.5 km from the coast off the coast of the municipality of Plouguerneau in Finistère Brittany.
Two lighthouses stand on the small island, one of which is considered the tallest stone lighthouse in the world, with a height of 82.5 meters , the lighthouse has 365 steps inside.
The island is open to the public from April to September, as is the lighthouse, by appointment , Both lighthouses have been listed as monuments.
The Ile Vierge lighthouse offers amazing panoramic views of Brittany & the English Channel.
