Ipojuca is a city in Brazil in the State of Pernambuco, part of the Metropolitan area of Recife and of the Suape microregion.

The municipality, which is located about 49 km away from the capital Recife and is part of the stretch of the Atlantic Forest, receives thousands of visitors looking for beautiful beaches.
The main tourist feature of the municipality could not be the world famous beach of Porto de Galinhas, elected ten times in a row the “best beach option in Brazil” by Travel & Tourism magazine. Its main attraction is the natural pools visited by thousands of tourists annually. Among the many historical points, is the Convent of Santo Antonio, founded in 1606 and listed by the national historical heritage in 1937. It represents a major landmark of the settlement of the municipality.
