The Kai Bae Beach has a total length of two kilometers and is the third longest beach on Koh Chang   ( Thailand   ) after Klong Prao Beach and White Sand Beach. The Kai Bae Beach (also Kaibae Beach) is divided into two sections by a cliff and an estuary. In the northern part are the more luxurious resorts, . The southern beach section offers especially at its south end still largely backpacker atmosphere.

The northern Kai Bae Beach has only at its northern end sandy beach. Towards the south towards the cliff the beach disappears completely and only starts again at the southern beach section height Kaibae  Resort *. At the southern quay Bae Beach the beach is much wider and has light, fine, partly coarse-grained sand. Both stretches of beach are lined with coconut palms, casuarines and other trees. In the dry season, the water is usually shallow and clear, at low tide, swimming is only possible far out. Kai Bae Beach is an overall quiet beach with a relaxed atmosphere.

Access : Coordinates: 12.0251° N, 102.2911° E / Kai Bae Beach, like all island beaches on the west coast of Koh Chang, is approached several times an hour by the shared taxis. The drive with one of the Songthaews costs depending on the distance between 50 and 120 Baht (1,10 and 2,70 euro).

There are boat connections from Kai Bae Beach to the Koh Mak and Koh Kood islands south of Koh Chang. Kai Bae Pier is located between the northern and southern stretches of beach at Kai Bae Hut Resort *. In the dry season between December and May, the “Nor Nou Kai Bae Speed ??Boats” leave daily at 9am for Koh Wai, Koh Kham, Koh Mak, Koh Rayang and Koh Kood.
