The lighthouse at Acre Melagavi or Lighthouse of Iraion is located at the northern entrance of Corinth Bay ( Greece  ) was built in 1897 on the Agrilaos peninsula, in the gulf of Alkyonides Islands. and separates it from the Alkionides bay to the north , also known as the “Lighthouse of Hera” – from the ancient temple of Hera ,(  the ancient mythology goddes ) near it .

The lighthouse, which guides ships sailing to Corinth and heading to the port and canal of Corinth.
During World War II the lighthouse remained off. In 1947, as part of the reconstruction of the grid, it reopened, and in 1982 it was supplied with electricity. In 1982 the lighthouse functioned as a supervised electrician with a typical white flash every 10 seconds. and 19 nm.
