The Moon Landscape is located within a 30-minute drive from the closest town the Swakopmund ,a city on the coast of western Namibia.
This amazing Moon Landscape has been carved by the Swakop River over millions of years. The vast desert area located in one of the tourist routes passing through the Namib-Naukluft National Park, there is several observation points from which views of the “Moon Landscape” opens. These geological formations are about 450 million years old. The scenic appearance of the lunar landscape attracts thousands of tourists to the Namib-Naukluft Park every year, particularly Instagrammers and photographers for the incredible photo opportunities.
