Petite Martinique is a small island of the Grenadines group in the Windward Islands chain of the Lesser Antilles archipelago . It is located in the southeastern part of the Caribbean Sea, northeast of Grenada . It is part of the dependent territory of Carriacou and Little Martinique of the state of Grenada.

The island is a 250m high volcanic cone with two small towns, Black Town and White Town. In the early days, White Town was inhabited by French boat owners. Black Town was where their African workers lived. It can be reached by boat in 20 minutes from Hillsborough.
Fishing and boat building remain the two main activities , The only street that runs along the shoreline is Main Street. It connects the settlements of Petite Anse, Kendace, Sussanah, Beausejour, Belle View, Paradise, Good Hope and North Point. There are piers, beaches, a school, several small hotels, a shopping center, a restaurant, bars, a gas station. There are no police or banks.
