Pink beach, Komodo Island

One of only seven in the world  pink beach which is popular as a tourist destination, located at the Komodo Island.( Komodo is one of the Lesser Sunda Islands ,It belongs to the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara ) This beach is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Komodo Island National Park.

The pink color of the beach sand itself comes from a natural process. Red coral flakes, clam shells, calcium carbonate, small marine invertebrates, sponges or sea sponges that mix together to form a unique color composition that if you see pink stands out along this beach. Because Komodo Island is included in the National Park area, to enter it you also have to get a permit first. Arranging permits can be done in Loh Liang. this place is perfect for snorkeling and diving for marine sports lovers.

Access : Coordinates: -8.601049, 119.519824 / Sea route: You can go to Pink Beach using a ship that sails from Tanjung Benoa, Bali to Labuan Bajo which takes 1 day. / Land route: You can also go to this beach by land using a bus from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo which of course continues by taking a ferry to cross.
Arriving in Labuan Bajo by using one of these lines, you still have to use a ferry to cross to Loh Liang on Komodo Island. Meanwhile, to get to Pink Beach you can walk for 4 hours or if you want it faster until you can use a boat from Loh Liang, which is located on Komodo Island which only takes 30 minutes.
