Port Hercules also known as Porto Ercole is the centrally located marina in the Principality of Monaco.
The port has been in use since ancient times. The modern port was completed in 1926, and underwent substantial improvements in the 1970s. the principality became the absolute record holder for the number of luxury yachts during the Monaco Formula 1 race . The prestigious race take place on the streets of the city from May 26 to 29. On average, the cost for parking a luxury yacht during the Grand Prix ranged from 65,000 euros. However, the amounts could be in the millions, depending on the length of the vessel and the program.
Port Hercules is also lined with restaurants and bars creating a vibrant atmosphere , that simply cannot be replicated.
