The Sycamore Gap Tree, also known as the Robin Hood Tree, was a sycamore tree that grew next to Hadrian’s Wall near Crag Lough, northwest of Bardon Mill in Northumberland, England, United Kingdom.
It was located in the middle of a prominent saddle in the landscape and was a popular photographic subject, making it one of the most photographed trees in the country. The tree was felled early in the morning of September 28, 2023. Due to the strong winds caused by Storm Agnes, residents heard nothing.
