The Airbus A330 passenger aircraft will be the first to place specially shaped beds in a space near the cargo compartment that will be available to passengers, as announced by the European aircraft manufacturer in collaboration with Zodiac Aerospace.
Airbus is working on their design and construction, with 2020 being the horizon of implementing this plan. In the Airbus design, beds will be placed in such a form that they can be replaced immediately with a normal load. Similar studies are carried out by Airbus for the A350 airliner.

Christophe Bernardini, chief executive officer of Zodiac Aerospace Cabin Branch, said: “We are delighted to be working with Airbus in this new and groundbreaking project that confirms our experience in cabin solutions. An improved passenger experience is today a key differentiator for airlines. ”
Geoff Pinner, Head of the Airbus Cabin & Cargo program, said: “This approach to commercial air travel is a step forward to the comfort of passengers. We have received very positive feedback from several airlines about our first models. We are delighted to work with Zodiac Aerospace on this project, which will introduce a new experience for passengers and add value to airlines. “
