The Bridal Veil Falls ( Māori :  Wairēinga ) are a 55 meter high waterfall on the Pakoka River in the Waikato region of New Zealand, in the Auckland region, in the northeastern part of the country, 400 km north of Wellington the country’s capital.

This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in New Zealand. The stream of water falls from a height of 55 meters through the majestic amphitheater of rocks. The flow of water resembles a light veil of the bride, hence the name – Bridal Veil Falls

this waterfall is located near the SH73 highway / The waterfall can be reached after a 10-minute walk through the rainforest.

Highlights :

  •  There are two viewing platforms here. The lake can be reached on foot via a staircase on the side of the steep face – there is another viewing platform on the way – and the waterfall can also be viewed from below.
  •  Know before you go : No swimming – water quality does not meet health standards for swimming.

Activities : sightseeing / photo opportunities / beyond Bridal Veil car park, is the start of the 6 km Pipiwharauroa Way walking and cycling track.
