Yolanda Reef and Wreck , Red Sea

The Yolanda Reef is located in the Red Sea near Sharm El Sheikh ,in Egypt at the southern extreme of the Sinai Peninsula, and is an excellent place for deep diving.

Tourists can enjoy the diversity of flora and fauna of the sea reef and view the remains of a ship called “Yolanda”. The most suitable time for diving is July – August.
Yolanda Reef has its own attractions – two caves. The first is located at a depth of 6 meters. Here you can always see schools of glass fish. The second cave is located on the corner of the reef.
Yolanda Reef is one of the popular dive sites in the Ras Mohammed Nature Reserve.

  • This Reef got its name from the Cypriot merchant ship Yolanda that sank here in 1980.
  • There are excellent conditions for scuba diving, as well as beautiful marine flora and fauna – bright corals, moray eels, barracudas, Napoleon fish, eels, sharks, turtles and much more.
