Ballybunion or Ballybunnion Ballybunion is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the country on the coast of County Kerry  on the Wild Atlantic Way, 15 km (9.3 mi) from the town of Listowel. in the southwest of the Republic of Ireland.
It is located to the southwest of the country, near the city of Tralee, the Macgillicuddy’s Reeks mountain range, the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and northwest of the city of Cork.

This municipality is surrounded by golf courses. In 1998, it is also a statue of President Bill Clinton of the United States commemorating the occasion of his golfing career. In the summer, the atmosphere of tourism is quite prevalent, with families and people coming to spend their leisure time.

  • The ruins of Ballybunion Castle : The ruins of Ballybunion Castle, Ballybunion Castle1, are 12 meters high and overlook the village beach. This castle was built in the 1500s by the Fitzmaurices family. Only a few sections of walls have managed to cross the time and still stand. Under this remains of a castle, an underground gallery was discovered, dug out of the cliff, and allowing to join the castle without being seen
  • beaches : with miles of blue flag golden sandy beaches from which it is possible to visit the caves that surround it at low tide. It is separated in two parts by the cliff on which remain the ruins of the castle. One party is called “Men’s Beach” and the other is “Ladies Beach”. This separation is due to the fact that in the past, men did not bathe with women and children.
  • The “Listowel and Ballybunion Railway : a very unusual means of transport is also a heritage of the village. It was a monorail system that opened on February 29, 1888 and closed on October 14, 1924. The track from Listowel to Ballybunion was 14.4 km long. In 2003, an association decided to create a copy of the train of the time and restore 1 km of track so that the train can circulate and recall the means of transport of the twentieth century.

  • Bromore Cliffs : Bromore Cliffs is a walk along the cliffs of Bromore with spectacular natural scenery. Breathtaking views of wildlife, hertiage and the Devil’s Castle. Situated only a mile north of Ballybunion, Open daily from 10am to 6pm
