Bohemia

Bohemia   is a historical district in the western and central part of the modern Czech Republic . After the demise of the Great Moravian Empire (~ 907), Bohemia became the political center of the Czech-Moravian-Silesian area. After 1019 (or 1029) they were permanently connected with Moravia, then Silesia, both Lusatia and later also the Czech Palatinate and Brandenburg were added. Charles IV. scelil April 7, 1348 these territories into a new quality unit: the land of the Czech Crown.

Bohemia joined Moravia and Slovakia forming the Republic of Czechoslovakia in 1919. In January 1993 he joined the new Czech Republic.

• The Snezka, Sněžka is the highest point in the Giant Mountains, which is also part of the Sudeten mountain range. •  Pravčická brána -The Prebischtor, The slender rock formation is the largest natural sandstone rock bridge in Europe. With a span of 26.5, a clear height of 16, a maximum width of 8 and an arched arch thickness of 3 meters, it is one of the most outstanding natural monuments of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
•  The fairy-tale castle Hluboka near Budweis. is a pseudo-Gothic style building in southern Bohemia. It is located in the town of Hluboka nad Vltava, 140 km south of Prague.
