Cannon Beach is a city in Clatsop County, Oregon, USA.
The first recorded American trip to the fact that Cannon Beach was made by William Clark, one of the leaders of the Lewis and Clark expedition at the beginning of 1805 Wintering expedition to Fort Clatsop, is about 20 miles (32 km) north near the mouth of the Columbia River.

Cannon Beach is recognized as a well-known attraction, Haystack Rock, located southwest of downtown Cannon Beach, near Tolovana Park. This igneous rock has a height of 235 feet (72 m) and is often accessible at low tide, especially in the summer.

National Geographic listed Cannon Beach as “one of the world’s 100 most beautiful places.”

Access : Coordinates:45.889167, -123.960833 / The main road through Cannon Beach is Hemlock Street, which runs from the north of the city to the south, through Tolovana Park. At both ends of the street, connect to US Highway 101.

The shuttle runs from the north of Cannon Beach in the south. It runs a cycle that connects Cannon Beach and Seaside every hour.

  •  Four parks can be found within the city: Haystack Hill State Park, Les Shirley Park, John Young State Natural Site (closed to visitors) and Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site.
  •  Haystack Rock : This igneous rock has a height of 235 feet (72 m) and is often accessible at low tide, especially in the summer. There is a small cave system that penetrates the rock and can be seen from the coastline.
  •  Cannon Beach and Ecola Park have appeared in several films, including: Dunce (1985), Twilight (2008), Hysterical (1983), and Wave Crest (1991).
  •  Ecola State Park : This is where the Lewis-Clark expedition traveled with difficulty in 1806. Today, there are several kilometers of hiking trails in Ecola State Park. Haystack Rock and Needles can be seen from many points in the park.

Events : The city hosts the annual sand castle -Construction competition in June. / The city also hosts the annual July Fourth Parade / “Spring Countdown” is an annual arts festival, held on the first Sunday of May, hosted by the city’s galleries.
There is an annual festival in late autumn called the Weather Stormy Arts Festival, held in November.
