Fly Geyser or Fly Ranch Geyser is an artificial geyser where located in the north-west of the US state of Nevada.
The Fly Geyser is located in the Fly Ranch, a private area of approximately 15 km², located two km from Nevada Highway 34 and approximately 34 km north of the city of Gerlach, on the edge of the Black Rock Desert.
Fly Geyser is not completely natural, although volcanic events are common in the area, including hot springs. In fact, it was created by accident in 1964, during the drilling of a well intended precisely to exploit the geothermal energy of the subsoil. The water, reaching 93°C, was not hot enough for the intended purpose, and the well was plugged. The geyser is located on private land owned by the Burning Man Project and is open to the public upon registration at the associated farm.
