Huaca Sapantiana or Sapantiana Arch is a colonial hydraulic architecture built on the p’ujru river, in the city of Cusco, Peru. whose construction was promoted by the Jesuit order and the Cusco council, between the 17th and 18th centuries.
This attraction is a hydraulic architecture from the colonial era that had an important function to channel and allow water to be carried from one peak to another, today it remains as a vestige of the colonial era to be appreciated. The term Sapantiana derives from the Quechua words “Sapan” which means single in the same way “Tiana” becomes seat, it is the name of the sacred Inca Huaca which is located near the aqueduct, hence the name given to this tourist attraction.
