The Île-d’Houat is a French island in the Morbihan department in the entrance of the Quiberon Bay, in the south coast of Brittany.
Located south of the Gulf of Morbihan, between Belle-Île en Mer and the Rhuys peninsula, the island of Houat raises its high granite cliffs off the coast of Quiberon Bay.
The island can be explored in a day, the town by bike and the island on foot, following the coastal path , allow 4 hours to do the complete tour. You can only get around by bike or on foot. Motorized vehicles are prohibited.
Hiking and enjoying the beaches are the main activities on this uncrowded island.
