The Palouse Falls are located on the Palouse River,( The Palouse is a region that covers parts of southeastern Washington and north-central Idaho, with some definitions also including parts of northeastern Oregon.) approximately 4 mi (6.4 km) upstream from the confluence with the Snake River in the southeast of the US state of Washington.( Washington is a state of the United States of America. It is located in the northwest of the US on the Pacific Ocean coast, north of Oregon, west of Idaho, and south of British Columbia in Canada ). The falls consist of an upper fall with a drop height of about 20 ft (6 m), which is 1,000 ft (305 m) north-northwest of the main fall, and a lower fall with a drop height of 198 ft (60 m).

On February 12, 2014, the Washington House of Representatives unanimously passed bill HB 2119 to make the Palouse Falls the official landmark of Washington.
Access : Coordinates: 46.663611, -118.223611 / From Ellensburg, head east on I-90 toward I-82/Spokane/Yakima and continue on this road then Take exit 137 to merge onto WA-26 east toward Othello/Pullman. Continue another 83 miles until you reach the small town of Washtucna, often referred to as the “Gateway to Palouse Falls.” Turn right onto Main Street and drive through Washtucna.
Palouse Falls State Park : The falls are located within Washington’s the 94-acre Palouse Falls State Park, where there are accesses to the falls as well as information panels on the region’s unique geology. In addition, historic ties can be explored: The Palouse tribe and Mullan Road took advantage of easy access to the plateau surrounding the falls

Entry fees : This park is equipped with automated pay stations for visitors to purchase a one-day or annual Discover Pass and boat launch permit.
