Located near the island of Bohol opposite the city of Tagbilaran, Panglao Island was known to Chinese, Malay, Thai, and Indonesian trade ships. It is connected to Bohol by two bridges. There is also an international airport here.
Panglao is a popular tourist destination in the Philippines and includes several small islands, such as Gak-ang, Pontod, and Balicasag, and is close to Pamalican Island.The island has many resorts and beaches.
