Papakōlea Beach is a green sand beach1 located south of the Kaʻū District on the Big Island of the U.S. state of Hawaii. The southernmost and largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago, which is simply called Hawaii, has unusual colored beaches in addition to the usual sandy beaches.
Papakōlea Beach , also known as Green Sand Beach or Mahana Beach It stretches for only 50 meters in a remote area of the southern part of the island. But the unique color of its sand attracts many tourists.
Access : Coordinates: 18.936261, -155.646308 / Green Beach. It is located 4.5 kilometers from the southernmost point of the Hawaiian Islands- you need to take the South Point Road to Kaulana Bay. There will be a parking lot on the left side.
