The Salar de Uyuni is a vast salt flat located in the highlands of southwestern Bolivia.
The Salt Flat has been used as a filming location for films such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi , The Fall , Salt and Fire , The Unseen and much more.
Due to its uniqueness, the Salar de Uyuni is an important tourist destination in the highlands of the Andes in Bolivia. The small pieces of land within its vast expanse are called “islands”, the most famous being Isla del Pescado (Fish Island).
