Takakkaw Falls is a waterfall located in Yoho National Park, near the town of Field ,British Columbia, Canada.
With a height of 381.1 m it is, according to official measurements, the second highest waterfall in western Canada, after the Della Falls with 440 m. However, the free fall is only 254 m high.
It holds the title of one of the main attractions of Yoho National Park. The waterfall is fed by melted ice and snow from the Daly Glacier, which originates in the Rocky Mountains. It is the spring period that most visitors consider the ideal time to get to know Takakko.
Access : Coordinates:51.499722, -116.472778 / To get to the waterfall from the East, follow the Trans-Canada Highway about 23 km west of Lake Louise to Yoho Valley Road. When accessed from the West, it is 3.7 km east of Field on the same Trans-Canada Highway, turning left onto Yoho Valley Road. Continue along this road for 13 km to a parking lot.
