The Tegalalang Rice Terrace is located in the village of Tegalalang on the island of Bali, Indonesia.
Also known as “Ubud Rice Fields”, The Tegallalang rice terraces are located in central Bali, 9 km north of Ubud. They are located at an altitude of 800 m above sea level, in a river valley. At the top of the terraces there is an observation deck. From here you can go down a narrow and not very convenient path. At the very bottom there are bamboo bridges along which you can walk to the other side of the gorge and climb the slope to the opposite peak.
Since the place is visited, the infrastructure here is well developed. Right next to the terraces there are several cafes and restaurants serving local or European cuisine. The Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud are famous for their beautiful scenes, is one of Bali’s most photogenic and most-visited destinations and it was partly listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
