The exposed petrified trees are located between the small seaside towns of Ynyslas and Borth, in the county of Ceredigion, Wales , United Kingdom.

The Submerged 4,500 years old trees was revealed after the passage of Storm Hannah, on April 27, with hurricane-force winds of up to 132 km/hour.
The Submerged Forest has been associated with a 17th century myth referring to a submerged civilization known as ‘Cantre’r Gwaelod’, which in Welsh means “Hundred Submerged”.
The remains of forest trees are visible at certain times of the year at low tide.
