Vias is a popular seaside resort in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region in southern France.
The town is a small wine-growing village which is located near Béziers, and is almost linked to Vias-plage which touches and runs along the sea.The Vias has a remarkable natural heritage: two Natura 2000 sites (the “plateau of Roquehaute” and “east and south of Béziers”), three protected areas (the national nature reserve of Roque-Haute, “la Grande Cosse” and “le Clot”) and nine natural areas of ecological, fauna and flora interest.
Further on the Vias coastal area has an expansive area with bike paths and camping areas.
