Wadi Mujib, also called Arnon, is an impressive gorge through which the biblical river Arnon flows, in the mid-west of Jordan.

El Mujib Nature Reserve is located in the middle of the mountains in the southern part of the Jordan Valley, about 90 km south of Amman. The Wadi Mujib is the gorge through which the biblical river Arnon flows  into the Dead Sea. In 1987, a nature reserve was created by the Jordanian Royal Society for the conservation of Nature.
The hot springs of Hammamat Ma’in are close to the reserve’s border and are heavily used for tourism. The wadi is used for hiking and trekking tours and for canyoning.
