Bo-Kaap also known as the Malay Quarter, is a district of the city of Cape Town, in South Africa.

Bo-Kaap is today one of the most picturesque areas of the Cape Town Metropolis due to the persistence of numerous cobbled streets, houses painted in pastel colors and mosques whose architecture is reminiscent of that of South Asia. The Bo-Kaap museum is housed in a Cape Dutch style house dating from 1760 and one of the particularities of which is that it has preserved its Voorstoep, a terrace located at the front of the house. The museum displays objects and photographs relating to the life of the Cape Malays during the 19th century.
